Food trucks, racing, big hats and Bloody Marys are coming to Golden Gate Fields.

Amid all this talk about the Lawrence Berkeley Lab's Second Campus at , you might have missed news that 30 food trucks will bring their goodies to the racetrack over four Saturdays beginning later this month.

According to : "An old school shindig will meet a new one, where young and old can watch and wager on horse races over bloody marys, sigsig tacos and cupcakes. Attendees are encouraged to dress up like they’ve never dressed up before, donning fashionable hats, with extra points for oversized or pillbox styles. A hat hawker will be on hand for those who arrive unadorned."

Those who hope to explore the carts will need to pay a $6 admission fee to the track; folks 17 and younger get in free.
