Sunday afternoon, hundreds of people came out to play street games, drink smoothies blended by bike, watch a magic show and relax in the grass on Key Route Boulevard for Albany Streets. Kids covered one side of the street, which was blocked off, with chalk designs. Recumbent bicycles were on hand for joy rides around the median strip. The city celebration, hosted by the Recreation & Community Services Department, was aimed at building community and taking over the streets for free fun and games. Miss it? You'll have another chance to experience the magic on Oct. 9. Photographer Dorothy Brown shared some of her photographs with Albany Patch as well. See more of her work here.
