We're putting together a paper quilt this week at Albany Library. The event is called Community Collage Quilt. (No tests or grades! It's collage, not college.)
Two-day Event: (Come to either or both days!)
- Feb. 21, 3-4:30 p.m.
- Feb. 23, 3-4:30 p.m.
Our theme is “Creating a Better Future Together in Albany.” Artist, Lilli Lanier, will help us create an expression of our community using all recycled materials. Lilli is guaranteed to bring out your inner quilter! She's done many great community gigs, one of the most memorable was last year's workshops with young people at the Juvenile Justice Center.
"Our quilt" will be displayed in the library during Art is Education Month (March 2012), then join other community quilts at the Alameda County Board of Supervisors.
Everyone's patch is welcome. All ages are invited. Come put your "Piece of Albany" on display.
