I spoke to John Yao, owner of the China Village. I know there has been some interest to know when the restaurant will reopen since it has been more than six months since the fire. It has been a long process to obtain the multiple permits required to rebuild and satisfy the requirements. In short, he is hopeful that in a couple of weeks he can begin reconstruction and by Chinese New Year 2013 the restaurant will reopen for business and our enjoyment.
