Save the Parcourse!

Don't let the parcourse disappear. A simple signature will help save it.

I was a bit surprised to learn that, when BART is done with their retrofit, they're . Everyone I met at the parcourse in the morning doing their stretches was a bit sad but, alack and alas, what to do?

Well, you tell the city to put it back, or at least you go to a parks and rec meeting and ask them about it. So I did. And the impression I got was that they would consider it if they saw support from the community. Apparently they had asked people way back at the beginning of the planning process for the retrofit but no one came to the meetings to support the parcourse and they drew the conclusion that no one wanted it.

I think the community does want it. They're just tired on Thursday evenings and they have to get dinner and make sure their kids do their homework and going to a parks and rec meeting just isn't high on the to-do list.

Ok, so how to show Parks and Rec that the community really does want the parcourse, they just don't want to go to a meeting about it?

So I started an online petition. If you click here, you can read more about it and possibly even sign it.
