Community Update

A memorial service will be
held on Sunday, October 20, at 1:30 pm at Temple Beth El, 1301 Oxford
St. in Berkeley for Sydell Lemerman, who died on August 16, 2013 in Santa
Monica.

Sydell was a resident of
Berkeley for 52 years. After working for the USDA in San Francisco for over 30
years she retired and worked and volunteered in Berkeley.  She worked on
Solano at the Gudrun Sjoden store in Berkeley where she loved engaging
with the customers and buying and wearing the product.  She worked for her
dear friend, Elaine Ensler, at Ensler Lighting for many years.  She
volunteered at Telecare, the Meiklejohn Institue, and literacy for BPL.

Sydell picked up friends
where ever she went. If you were one of them please come and remember her life
on Sunday, October 20.
