Join thousands of Patch communities in the fight against breast cancer this fall with the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk! This 5 mile walk in Golden Gate Park is a non-competitive walk that can be done by all ages, and dogs too (on leash!). Now in our 15th year, the San Francisco Making Strides walk invites you to join us in saving lives and raising funds for breast cancer research, free patient programs, community education and advocacy.
With 1 in 8 women (and some men too) at risk of being diagnosed in a lifetime, chances are someone you know has faced this disease. Come out and walk in support of survivors and those for whom the cure did not come soon enough.
