Come join the Saint Mary’s community this Saturday, September 28, for HOMECOMING 2013! Fresh from big wins over the Albany Cougars last weekend, the Panthers will meet the De Anza High Dons of El Sobrante, with no rain and a beautiful Autumn day expected. Homecoming festivities will abound, the Pep Band and Cheer Squad will entertain, and alumni will be on hand for a Fifth Quarter social. The athletic field at the school’s Thomas M. Brady Park (2009) offers not only a great sports venue, but spectacular and unrestricted views of the Berkeley/Kensington/El Cerrito Hills and San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. Good football! Good friends! Good food! Good fun! JV play at 11:00 a.m. and Varsity at 1:30 p.m. It’s a two-block walk to campus from the AC Transit 25A or 25B bus stop at Monterey and Hopkins, or a five-block walk from North Berkeley BART. Game tickets are $6.00 adults; $2.00 visiting students with school I.D.; $2.00 seniors 65 and older; children 6 and under are free. The school’s snack bar will be open, or visit the shops on Monterey and Hopkins for delicious game-time selections. (www.onhopkins.com)
