Girls Rock! APAL and Y Program Returns to Albany Middle School

Girls Empowerment Program Begining Jan. 30

The next session of Girl Rock! will begin on Jan. 30. This girls' empowerment group is a collaboration of the Albany Police Activities League and the Albany Y. It includes creative projects, group sessions, and fun field trips.

The next session will run from Jan. 30 to April 10. Classes will be on Wednesday from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. at Albany Middle School.

This session's theme is Honoring Our Diversity and is open to 6 - 8 graders. Each session has different field trips depending on scheduling opportunities with rock climbing, swimming, kayaking or sailing being popular in the past.
