People are dying of the flu around the Bay Area, and Patch readers were checking coverage all day Thursday to learn more about the disease and how they can prevent it. In addition, the deadly “knockout game” has come to Los Gatos, and a Half Moon Bay high school is on lockdown after a carjacker was found nearby.
Plus, there were reports of a Justin Bieber, possibly reunited with Selena Gomez, spotted in Santa Cruz.The flu has started taking a deadly toll this season with reported flu-related deaths reaching nine just in the nine-county Bay Area by this afternoon, up from four reported statewide on Friday.
