1. 2 Street Robberies in Albany Sunday, Making 4 in 9 Days
Two robberies were reported in Albany on Sunday, Nov. 3: one at gunpoint on Key Route Boulevard in the afternoon and the other in the early evening when a woman was pushed to the sidewalk on San Pablo Avenue. Albany had two other robberies the weekend before.

2. Albany Homeless Shelter Arrives – Assembly Needed
The temporary Albany homeless shelter that the city is providing for soon-to-be-dislocated Albany Bulb dwellers arrived in four parts on Monday, Nov. 4. It was placed next to Buchanan Street about 100 yards from the entrance to the Bulb.

3. Brush Fire Flares Next to University Village
A brush fire burned about a quarter of an acre at the western edge of University Village near the railroad tracks in Albany on Tuesday, Nov. 5., fire officials said. A fence was damaged, and a firefighter was stung twice by ground wasps.

5. AC Transit Passenger Set of Fire While Asleep
A 16-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of setting fire to a sleeping 18-year-old male passenger on an AC Transit bus in Oakland late Monday afternoon, police said. The victim suffered second- and third-degree burns.
