Art in Nature: The Nature of Art Festival

and the arts non-profit Samavesha have joined forces to organize Art in Nature: The Nature of Art 2011, a free multidisciplinary performing arts Festival located at the Stream Trail of Redwood Regional Park in Oakland.

The festival will feature more than 120 artists and performers who will explore the nature of art in 12 theme areas including music, dance, sculpture, painting, martial arts, poetry, henna tattoo, circus arts, theater, visual arts, storytelling, arts & crafts and kids events.

There will be no vendors, so bring a picnic lunch.

There is no admission charge for the festival, but you will need to pay for parking and the shuttle which is a required element in this event. You can reserve your ride on the shuttle here. Find the directions to the Stream Trail here.
