The mural, on wood (8 feet by 4 feet), depicts a vibrant scene with an indigenous Ohlone woman smiling down on a creek flowing though a garden of lavender, pumpkins, sunflowers, rainbow chard and strawberries. Butterflies wind their way through the sky. The woman's hands seem to encircle the garden as the plants and creek pop out with a three-dimensional quality.

Cruz and Holden captured the natural beauty of our surroundings by painting images in vivid color, with passion, rare creativity and design integrity.
