Photo Feature: Find Art in Unexpected Places in Albany

On a recent visit to , Albany Patch was surprised and delighted to find these eye-catching paintings by Oakland artist Erin Crawford. 

Shop owner Terri Varela, who's been on the block for 13 years, said she displays about four shows a year. 

Albany has the , as well as the , not to mention  and , but it's recently come to our attention that there are a number of other spaces around town to see art on display. (In addition to Chroma,  just began a this week.)

As an aside, the Arts Committee is accepting artist submissions to be considered for shows in 2012. The review process will be done at the September meeting. Learn more here.
