Kids at Marin School – Enter Your Drawing for the School Directory

Calling all young artists (and would-be artists) at Marin Elementary School. The school urges its K-5 students to submit pencil or pen drawings for the cover of this year's school directory. Deadline is Sept. 25.

If you're a student at Marin Elementary School in Albany, you're urged to enter a drawing that could wind up on the cover of this year's school directory.

The school wants its young artists (grades K-5) to submit pen or pencil drawings (no crayons or color, just black and gray) by Sept. 25 for the 2013-14 school directory. Details are in the school's notice at the bottom of this article.

The drawing chosen for last year's directory cover was by kindergartener Lila Vance (see accompanying photo).

Patch article last year showed some of the other entries, which were put on display in the multipurpose room entryway.

Here's this year's call for artists from the school:

Calling all artists! Marin School Directory Art Contest!

We need young artists to submit drawings for the front cover of the 2013-2014 Marin Elementary School Directory. We welcome entries from all grades K-5. Artwork should be on 8 1/2 x 11 paper and feature "Marin School Directory 2013-2014" prominently.  Please encourage your child to be a part of this community-wide directory.

Entries must be submitted to the Marin School office no later than September 25th.

Any questions should be directed to Katey Mason (KateyLMason@yahoo.com).
