The Chorale, Women's Chamber Ensemble and Concert Choir received the invitation, according to information released today by organizer Heritage Festivals.

Under the direction of Mary Stocker, the ensemble received a Gold rating for a superior performance during the Anaheim 2010 Heritage Festival, earning them an invitation to perform at Carnegie Hall in 2011 or 2012.

During the past year, thousands of students from hundreds of schools have
competed for the chance to perform at Festival at Carnegie Hall and Festival of Gold.

The event aims to "showcase only the best music ensembles from around the country. Festival at Carnegie Hall brings ensembles to New York City, where a rich history of producing diverse and acclaimed artists creates the perfect venue to take music programs to the next level. CORRECTION: The Concert Choir was the third group invited to perform at Carnegie Hall. The original news release about the invitation named a different ensemble, but a local parent pointed out the error. It has been corrected above.
