Thursday night Lawrence Berkeley National Lab hosted an that offered Albany residents a chance to learn more about the proposed second campus at . Officials from the lab, site developers and officials spoke about their plans and expectations before an audience of hundreds. as well as the .


On Tuesday evening, the nation was celebrating community safety and security and, as evidenced by this photo album by , 22 blocks in Albany came out to grill, play music, have a glass of wine, play in the jumpy house, ride bikes, catch up with neighbors and meet city officials and members of the police department. Last Saturday's mini book sale in front of the Albany Library raised double the amount that similar sales have raised in the past. , the library manager, disclosed the full amount in this announcement. Thanks to the sale, there is now much more room in the basement to receive and process future book donations, so bring over those hefty classics that may be another person's treasure.
