Gill Tract Occupiers Vow New Occupation Saturday

The Occupy the Farm activists who moved into the UC-owned Gill Tract a year ago are calling for a "Land Occupation" on Saturday. UC Berkeley officials said they aim to guard against "an illegal occupation" and ensure public safety.

City Council Asks Police to Enforce 'No Camping' Rule at Albany Bulb

As part of a plan to end homelessness in Albany, the city council directed the Albany Police Department to begin enforcement of a no-camping ordinance as of October, 2013.

The Albany police log for May 3 has five accidents, including a hit and run leading to an arrest, a couple with dogs in the dog park at the wrong time, 20-30 juveniles drinking beer and smoking, a loud machine complaint again and a stolen car.
