28th Amendment Roadshow: A Forum on Money in Politics

Inaction on climate change. Unfair taxation and income inequality. Government shutdowns. What do all these issues have in common? A common root: the influence of money on politics.

Join us for a panel discussion exploring recent developments that have opened the floodgates to money in our political system and what we can do, including amending the constitution, to build a truly equitable democracy. National leaders, like bestselling author Jeff Clements of Corporations Are Not People, will describe the scale of the problem and solutions required while local leaders like Mayor Gayle McLaughlin of Richmond connect this somewhat abstract issue to community concerns.

This event will be the FIRST in a nationwide series on the importance of getting money out of politics, kickstarting the next phase of the movement for a just democracy.

FREE to students, $10 for seniors, and $20 for other community members.
