Bay Area Children's Theatre Presents MERCY WATSON TO THE RESCUE

The Bay Area Children’s Theatre (BACT) production of MERCY WATSON TO
THE RESCUE—the madcap adventures
of a sweet but rather spoiled pig who adores buttered
toast—opens Sunday, January 26, at the Freight & Salvage, 2020 Addison Street, Berkeley.

MERCY WATSON TO THE RESCUE pulses with physical comedy that will entertain children and grown-ups
alike. Inspired by the hilarious stories of Kate
DiCamillo, the show, written by Victoria Stewart and directed by Emily Morrison
Austin, will play weekends at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. through Sunday, February 16.

When Mr. and Mrs. Watson move into 54 Deckawoo Drive with their
darling “porcine wonder,” their
imperious next door neighbor, Eugenia, is shocked and appalled. The Watsons think Mercy can do no
wrong. But one day she eats Eugenia’s pansies, and Eugenia takes revenge,
placing a call to ambitious Animal Control Officer
Francine Poulet. Children will delight in seeing how Mercy manages to elude her would-be captor and become a
hero in spite of herself.
