EcoHouse Drought Strategy Tour: Greywater, Rain Catchment & More

California’s severe drought means it’s time to get serious about water conservation. Turn your home and yard into a water-saving site with greywater systems, rainwater catchment, earthworks, and water-wise landscaping. Tour the EcoHouse’s water features, including the first residentially permitted wetlands/greywater system in CA.

Tour includes a slide presentation on water recycling solutions and detailed examples of grey water and rain catchment systems. We will discuss the principles and process of safely irrigating with shower, bathroom sink, and laundry waste water and include a presentation of greywater design and the application process.

Return home with ideas for your own site! We will also offer some simple do-it-yourself tools and strategies for conserving water in your home.
