Monday, May 27, is Memorial Day, a federal holiday in honor of those who died in military service. Here is a brief round-up of what's closed and what's not on Memorial Day in Albany:

City Hall: closed

Schools: closed

Library: closed

Post Office: closed

Curbside garbage and recycling pickup: will occur as usual, though Waste Management offices will be closed

Aquatic Center: no classes; lap swim 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; rec swim 1:30-4:00 p.m.

Businesses: some open, some closed

BART: Sunday schedule, with service starting around 8 a.m.
