BART UPDATE: Oakland Coliseum Station Re-Opens…

Stepped Up Law Enforcement at the Bulb - Illustrated!

Albany has successfully demonstrated how easy it is to use the criminal justice system to deal with homelessness and pesky lawsuits. The Patch peanut gallery and our city council must be ecstatic now that the previously hidden "elephant in the room" of drug abuse at the bulb has been made visible! Now, we simply re-purpose our plans for a state park by putting up a big gate across the neck of the Bulb and all our problems are solved.

Christopher, the lunch program at G.R.I.P organizes 30 churches, one for each day of the month, and serves church-made sandwiches to a couple of hundred people in a big dining room with a commercial kitchen to make soup. When I've been there they have about ten employees on hand to bus tables, cook and help children and the disabled get served, plus a security guard. Delivering services in Albany could be done on a much smaller scale.

"Delivering services in Albany could be done on a much smaller scale."... Yeah, it could... But, good luck trying to find financing for it! "We can't feed hungry people for FREE, in Albany!!!... We can't afford to have hungry people fall under the impression that they can eat for FREE here! What if those hungry people are also POOR?!?!... What if they decide to stay here, just for the handout?!?!"

All you've done, Amber, is erode good will. For the sake of the other homeless people in Albany, you might want to STFU if this is all you have to offer.

good toning down/distillation of my comment dorothy, well put.. . I'm glad to hear about the settlement - and funny how it brought Amber back to call someone a liar >>without a word about the "libel" we all did not actually commit.. and the conversation is back to "what can we do"/ i dont know how taxes work// give me more money... >>they expect 28 to accept the offer<< anyone want to guess which two people wont take the money??? what a joke..

Forget the payout, Operation: Bulldozer has a way of doing the work the citizens of Albany demand. I would be willing to lead the charge. Peace out.
