Honor in Action Mayor Peggy Thomson

My Job Benefits

The wind wiping over his helmet, the hooves pounding thunder. Jockey Julien Couton keeping Gallant Son strait takes the Albany Stakes.

A benefit of $30,450 out of the $50,000 purse. At seven years of age Gallant Son has earned $438,328. The Board Of Stewards, a group of four racing officials, had to judge a clam of foul made by Hall of Fame Jockey Russell Baze. After their review the replay showed that no foul had been committed.

One of the benefits of my job at the Golden Gate Fields Turf Club is I get to meet many interesting people. Some of them have a Honorable in front of their name.

The California Horse Racing Board has eight that I know of like Jerry Brown, Bo Derek ect. I meet Chairman, Executive Vice Presidents, CFO's and our administration. But on President's Day I got to meet the Honorable Mayor of Albany Peggy Thomsen.

In the short time I spent with the Mayor I can tell she has kept her horse on the right path. The track was ready to comp a luncheon for six right on the finish line in the turf club. But they did tell me they did not know how many would be coming to table 117. They did mention she might want to pay for her lunch although. It was true you can see the pile of money on the table in the photo of us.

Knowing the right path one receives consent and obedience from the public: thus, one leads all people and horses to the right place. Benefit.
