Shining Light on Zinfandel Harvest Moon

From dry sparkling Gewürztraminer, drink me now russian river Pinot and Zinfandel. You will dream about HARVEST MOON, family style.

HARVEST MOON RISES ZINFANDEL TO ITS FULLEST

The full moon rises just about the time of sunset, sun and moon playing their old game. Binding past to the future in the eternal present. A harvest moon is the first full moon closest to the Fall equinox. It is also called the Wine Moon; Hunter's Moon is next month. These moons light the evening sky extending our sight. Sonoma is Miwok for valley of many moons.

Randy Pitts WINEGROWER (http://harvestmoonwinery.com): Pitts is a grower first, selling to folks like DE LOACH. As a winegrower, Randy takes a Zen philosophy toward the grape, the work and man, three into one. Less is more at Harvest Moon wines. They have that balance of natural acidity that makes your mouth water, and a lower alcohol level leaves flavor. If Randy is not now a master he is on the right path.

I felt like family tasting 10 wines on the day of the harvest moon 2012. Out of this world. The dark chocolate and late harvest zinfandel pairing—you better not leave without some.

My friend Rob who lives close by is sure he could stay back by the swimming pool for a whole month, no trouble.

Check out the outdoor kitchen and pizza oven.

I love the way you express the spirituality of wine and land/ sun, and wine growers and their co creativity. Working that in with the three phases of the Moon is divine! Thank you, Michael! Keep up the great work! Taste life; taste wine.

I love this blog, Michael. I'm always happy to learn about new wines and wineries. You make me want to take a field trip!
