Re: Against Planned Digital Billboard at 540 Cleveland Ave.
I am an owner and resident at the Gateview Condominiums at 555 Pierce St. Albany, Calif.
I am AGAINST the proposed installation of a huge Clear Channel Outdoor Digital Billboard at a future City of Albany yard at 540 Cleveland Avenue, Albany. This billboard will be highly visible from my home and adversely impacts my view and my property value. Such an installation will have a definite negative impact, not only on my condo at 555 Pierce but also on the condominiums at 545 and 535 Pierce Street.
It is my understanding that together, 555, 545, and 535 Pierce Street condosrepresent almost 10% of Albany's population. We account for a goodly amountof city property taxes and votes.
Such a billboard would never be allowed or even considered on "your" side of Albany Hill. You must consider the affects on ALL Albany residents. Your NIMBY (Not In My Backyard) actions are wrongheaded and harmful.
Please DON'T BUILD THIS BILLBOARD.
