The Assessed "Value" of a Bulb-dwelling Neighbor

I never said that I "want to be given land, food, security and all the benefits of modern society" but one can hardly accurately say that I "don't give anything in return".

In the seven years that we have lived here, there has been 11 fires, if memory serves me.
And, in those seven years: Nobody has been injured, due to a fire.
The first fire I ever saw out here, I actually wasn't involved in extinguishing... However, I did watch Andy Kreamer and a group of non-Bulb residents form a bucket brigade, up a very steep hill (from the fire to the water), to try to battle the blaze. I watched all of this while standing next to two Albany Police officers and two Albany Fire Department personnel, who did nothing but watch alongside us.
At least 5, of those 11 fires, were extinguished without the assistance of professionals
I have helped my neighbors extinguish 4 of those fires.
One of those fires (smouldering creosote-soaked timbers, next to Osha's sculptures) I extinguished without any assistance, whatsoever.
4 of those fires were set by people who lived in town.
5 (possibly 6) of those fires were accidental in nature.
5 of those fires, each, cost a Bulb resident their home.

http://Facebook.com/CoastGuardNews BERKELEY, Calif. -- Coast Guard Air Station San Francisco MH-65C Dolphin helicopter crews rescued three children stranded on rocks near Golden Gate Fields July 6, 2010. The two boys and one girl were fishing from the rocks when high tide caught them off guard and blocked their escape, trapping them on the rocks."

When Phyl called my attention to these kids, I had 5% battery left, on my phone. I started down towards the Castle, phone in hand. On the way down, I ran into a man with an adorable pair of twin boys in tow. I pointed at the kids out on the rocks and asked him if he had seen any parents nearby. He told me that he had wondered the same thing, when he saw the three kids walking out there. I thanked him and continued down to the deck of the Castle.
I called 911, with the last of the battery on my phone, and explained the situation.
Judging by how long it was before APD and AFD showed up, I'm guessing that I was the only person who alerted any authorities to the situation. If my partner hadn't seen those kids and I hadn't called 911, there would be three dead children, period.

And, in regards to the declaration of Chief Mike McQuiston, who do you think alerted people to the man who beats his girlfriend, out here? ...
Give up?
Yup, you guessed it: Me!
And, I won't make THAT mistake, again, anytime soon!
There was no follow-up welfare check (even though they apparently reported to the Chief the fact that there was evidence of injuries being concealed with makeup) and, as a result of the unprofessional manner in which APD handled the only welfare check that they have ever done there, I had threats made on my life. And, the abuse continues. And now my "good deed" is being used against us!

And who, besides me, sees any value in the things I've created?...
How about anybody who visits the Castle on the day after some poor, unsuspecting townie has had to resort to defecating on the floor of the inside of the Castle, because there is no bathroom out here?...
Do you think that they would rather that nobody bothered to scrape up the human waste?
Better yet: What is the solution to the Castle pooping problem, if we move out?
Would the City then find it appropriate to provide sanitary facilities for park "visitors" to use, once "those pesky homeless folks" would no longer be at risk of using them, too?...
Or, would the City assign someone the task of checking for poop, in the Castle?
Cuz, without a bathroom out here, there will always be townies coming out here; not expecting the port a potty out front to be the "last one"; needing to urgently use the bathroom; searching for the nearest "bathroom"; and finding only the Castle.
Same with the random piles of poop.
I have walked up on non-Bulb residents, using the surface of the ground as a toilet, far more than I have walked up on Bulb residents, doing the same.

So, to say that I have done nothing in my time here to benefit the public, is factually incorrect.
