Albany Man Charged After Groping Report at Bowling Alley
The incident reportedly took place Monday inside the Albany Bowl.
A 46-year-old Albany man is in custody, local police said Thursday, after a report that he groped a woman inside earlier this week.
Police said Lawrence Snyder was arrested Monday, Jan. 16, on suspicion of disorderly conduct and sexual battery.
Lt. Dan Adams said a 39-year-old Oakland woman reported that a man had grabbed her in the hallway as they passed each other inside Albany Bowl.

Adams said the incident took place at about 3 p.m. Mondayu, and that the individuals involved did not know each other.

According to the Alameda County sheriff's department, Snyder was still in custody as of Thursday night, with a bail set of $5,000.
Adams said the Alameda County district attorney's office charged Snyder on Wednesday with one count of sexual battery.
Snyder was scheduled for a hearing Thursday morning, and is next set to appear Jan. 19 in Department 104 at the Wiley W. Manuel Courthouse at 9:30 a.m.
