Bulletin: Dead Young Deer, Ransacked Home on Dartmouth, Stuck in the Jewel's Terrace Bathroom and More

APRIL 7 DAYSHIFT

1:25 p.m. A man near Madison and Castro streets reported he was "concerned because there is a swarm of bees near the corner." Police gave him the phone number for Vector Control. Log note only.

APRIL 7 NIGHTSHIFT

6:49 p.m. A "PG&E Emergency" near Masonic and Marin avenues required stop signs "because they are closing down the traffic signals" and two vehicles were in the way. The work was expected to take four hours.

7:11 p.m. A man was reportedly stuck in the bathroom at and "unable to get out." Log note only.

10:02 p.m. Fifteen people were reported to be partying on Adams Street and disturbing the peace. Responsibles advised of complaint and will correct situation.

5:28 a.m. A man was reported near Santa Fe and Solano avenues "dragging trash cans all over the street" and "making noise." Log note only.

APRIL 8 DAYSHIFT

11:43 a.m. Police arrested two Albany juveniles in connection with marijuana possession at Stannage Avenue near the creek. The youth were released to their parents after being arrested.

12:52 p.m. Three girls were walking home from when they had an altercation with three other girls. The victims ran back to the middle school and spoke to police in the front office. Case report taken.

APRIL 8 NIGHTSHIFT

7:14 p.m. A man turned in a wallet he found on Jackson Street, but didn't want to give police the exact location "or have the owner know who turned it in." Miscellaneous public service provided.

12:38 a.m. Police arrested Osmin Martinez Jr. of San Pablo near Washington Street in connection with a warrant out of San Francisco related to several vehicle code violations. He was cited and released with a notice to appear in court. 

1:53 a.m. Police arrested Evan Jasha Wilson of West Hollywood on suspicion of driving under the influence near Solano and Pomona avenues. He was taken to the Glenn E. Dyer Detention Facility in Oakland.

1:54 a.m. Police arrested Keith Frederic Rose of Richmond on suspicion of driving under the influence and possessing a controlled substance on San Pablo Avenue. He was taken to the Glenn E. Dyer Detention Facility in Oakland.

2:40 a.m. Police arrested Robert Brostrom of Kensington on suspicion of being drunk in public. He was taken to the Glenn E. Dyer Detention Facility in Oakland.

3:53 a.m. Police arrested Diego Ortiz of San Pablo near Central and Jaccuzi avenues on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving on a suspended or revoked license. He was taken to the Glenn E. Dyer Detention Facility in Oakland.

APRIL 9 DAYSHIFT

11:31 a.m. A window on Cleveland Avenue was broken during the night in a vandalism. Case report taken.

1:43 p.m. An auto burglary, via window smash within the previous two hours, occurred on Solano. Case report taken.

3:14 p.m. Someone reported that a home on Dartmouth had been burglarized. The home was ransacked and a computer was stolen. Case report taken.

5:38 p.m. Several children were throwing rocks at vehicles near Brighton Avenue. One person reported that damage was done to at least one vehicle. Case report taken.

APRIL 9 NIGHTSHIFT

10:30 p.m. Someone reported that a cat on Kains Avenue had been locked in a car "crying for (the) last hour." The car's window was down with a screen covering it. No police action warranted at this time.

2:52 a.m. Police arrested Nathaniel White of San Francisco on suspicion of driving under the influence on San Pablo. White was cited and released.

4:19 a.m. Police arrested David Barksdale of Albany on suspicion of driving under the influence near Marin and Cornell avenues. He was taken to the Glenn E. Dyer Detention Facility in Oakland.

5:09 a.m. Police arrested Samuel Kim of Fremont after he was reported to be sleeping in a vehicle at the . Kim was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and possessing drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Glenn E. Dyer Detention Facility in Oakland.

APRIL 10 DAYSHIFT

4:10 p.m. Someone found a backpack on Jackson "with Tinkerbell on it" containing electronic equipment. The person was referred to another agency.

APRIL 10 NIGHTSHIFT

9:26 p.m. A man was taken to the hospital after someone reported two people behind the Albany Twin "in (the) bushes" near the apartment building. One man was passed out while the other was "yelling at him to get up" for the last 30 minutes.

11:37 p.m. Someone broke into a garage on Masonic Avenue, at some time during the prior week, and stole a bicycle and a drill. Case report taken.

APRIL 11 NIGHTSHIFT

10:02 p.m. Police arrested Harvey Ray Walker, who was listed as having no address, at the Albany Arco in connection with a parole violation after Walker was reported at the gas station bleeding from the face. Walker was taken to a hospital for treatment.

APRIL 12 DAYSHIFT

10:43 a.m. A baby deer was hit by a vehicle on San Pablo. The deer was found to have minor injuries. Berkeley Animal Control responded.

10:49 a.m. Someone went into the police department to report a case of identity theft after several credit accounts were opened under his or her name. Case report taken.

5:42 p.m. A woman came into the police department to see if a police officer could speak to her 5-year-old daughter "as a reminder" about "Not good behavior." Log note only.

APRIL 13 DAYSHIFT

10:14 a.m. A caller reported a young deer deceased in the back yard. The caller was referred to Berkeley Animal Control, which was notified to collect the remains.

2:51 p.m. Police responded to a natural death on Pierce Street after a friend or relative had been unable to reach a 70-year-old woman by phone throughout the day.

8:01 p.m. Police arrested Manan Sapkota of El Cerrito on suspicion of driving under the influence at San Pablo and Portland avenues. He was arrested in connection with being under 21 and drinking; driving on the highway without a license; and not being able to provide a vehicle title. He was issued a citation on his written promise to appear in the Oakland Traffic Court. Case report taken, vehicle impounded.

11:43 p.m. Police arrested Ryan Joseph Bonnell of San Francisco on San Pablo Avenue after coming across Bonnell's disabled vehicle. Bonnell was taken to the hospital and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

3:14 a.m. Police arrested Byoungjoo Lee of El Cerrito on suspicion of driving under the influence at San Pablo and Washington. He was taken to the Glenn E. Dyer Detention Facility in Oakland.
