Crash Blocks Three Lanes of I-80 Near Albany on Thursday Evening

The California Highway Patrol said, as of 6 p.m., there was no indication when lanes would be reopened.

Three lanes of eastbound Interstate Highway 80 just north of Albany are blocked this evening due to a crash there, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Two vehicles collided there at around 5:20 p.m. on the highway just west of the Central Avenue exit, near the border with El Cerrito and Albany, the CHP said.

The CHP issued a Sig-alert at 5:45 p.m. telling motorists to expect delays in the area. There is no estimated time that the lanes will be reopened.

According to 511.org, traffic is crawling along, as of 6:40 p.m., at 14 mph.
