A laptop was stolen from a woman's home on San Gabriel Avenue at about 4:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.

Albany residents who live in the vicinity of San Gabriel Avenue and were concerned about screaming heard early Thursday morning will be glad to know that no one was injured, though a computer was stolen from inside a residence on the avenue.

Lieutenant Daniel Adams of the confirmed that a burglary took place on Sept. 1 at about 4:31 a.m.

The male suspect broke the glass window, reached in and stole a computer which had been placed on a table nearby. The noise woke the resident, who screamed, although the suspect ran away with the computer, police said.
