Kidnapped Antioch Girl Found Safe – Suspect Arrested

The California Highway Patrol tonight issued and then canceled an Amber Alert for a 7-year-old girl kidnapped from her home in Antioch about 6:45 p.m. She was later found safe.

UPDATE 11:53 p.m.: Antioch police say 7-year-old Natalie Calvo has been found safe after being abducted earlier Friday evening, according to ABC7 News. The AMBER Alert has been canceled. 
A witness spotted the alleged abductor's vehicle at the Antioch Marina and contacted police, who found the girl and arrested a suspect, ABC7 reported.

The kidnapping of a 7-year-old girl in Antioch this evening, Friday, has prompted the California Highway Patrol to issue an Amber Alert tonight for Alameda, Contra Costa, Sacramento, Solano and San Joaquin counties.

The girl is believed to have been kidnapped from her home in the 3800 block of Hummingbird Drive at about 6:45 p.m. by a suspect driving a gold '90s 4-door Toyota Camry, according to the California Highway Patrol. 

The suspect has been described as a Filipino man between 40 and 50 years old wearing a black beanie possibly armed with a black rifle, the CHP said.

The girl, identified as Natalie Calvo, is Asian, stands 3 feet tall, weighs 54 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a neon pink scarf and jacket, gray jeans-style leggings, brown boots and was wearing her hair in a ponytail.

Anyone with information about her disappearance has been asked to call 911 or Antioch police at (925) 778-2441.
