Fiery, 4-car Crash on I-80 in Albany – Lanes Blocked

Three westbound lanes of Interstate 80 in Albany were blocked more than an hour this morning by a four-vehicle pile-up in which one car burst into flames, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A fiery multi-car crash blocked lanes on westbound Interstate Highway 80 in Albany for more than an hour this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision, which involved four cars, was reported around 8:15 a.m. on westbound Highway 80 at the Albany exit, according to the CHP.

One of the cars involved, a Dodge Neon, burst into flames, according to initial CHP reports.

The crash blocked three westbound lanes, leaving only the far right lane open. The roadway was cleared at about 9:25 a.m.

The crash caused only minor injuries, according to the CHP.
