Pedestrian Sent to Hospital after Crash on Solano

A woman was sent to the hospital after she was struck by a car last week while walking in Albany, police said.
On Jan. 20, just before 7 p.m., police responded to a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at Solano Avenue and Adams Street.
When officers arrived, they found the 26-year-old woman who had been hit sitting in the front seat of the Honda that struck her.

Police said the driver was making a left from eastbound Solano onto northbound Adams.
The woman was walking east, crossing Adams using the north-side crosswalk.

The driver did not see her walking, police said.
After the crash, the woman reported pain in the knee and shin area of her right leg. She was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
