11:32 a.m. A man outside the called to report that his daughter and mother refused to "give him receipts for a birthday party." Disposition: Miscellaneous Public Service Provided.
12:15 p.m. A caller and landlord on Fillmore Street got into a verbal fight over her cats. Disposition: Civil Matter Parties Advised.

6:10 p.m. A security guard at reported a suspicious man wearing a backpack near the complex's driveway. Police responded and arrested William Nidever of Richmond on suspicion of possessing burglary tools and loitering on private property. He is being held at Santa Rita Jail and is set to enter a plea at 9 a.m. Thursday, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Department. Nidever has been picked up at least twice before in Albany, according to the Sheriff's Department: once in November at Central Avenue and Jacuzzi Street on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and paraphernalia; and on Dec. 26, also at 555 Pierce, on suspicion of loitering on private property.
