Police Calls: 2 Students Arrested at AHS on Alleged Debit/Credit Card Fraud

The Albany police log for June 7 includes two students arrested at Albany High on alleged debit/credit card fraud, a drunk/disorderly arrest, an arrest following the the theft of two bottles of liquor from Safeway, and repeated vandalism of tires.

The following information was obtained from the Albany Police Department's daily incident log and its arrest reports.

Friday, June 7

Drunk/disorderly arrest – At 12:31 a.m., police arrested a San Pablo male at the Buchanan Interchange on suspicion of being under the influence to an unsafe degree or obstructing a public right of way.

Safeway liquor theft arrest
 – At 9:19 a.m., police received a report of a man stealing two bottles of liquor from Safeway and fleeing on foot heading south on Curtis. Disposition: Arrest made.

Debit/credit card fraud arrests of 2 students – At 10:58 a.m., police arrested two male students, one from Albany and one from El Cerrito, at Albany High School on suspicion of debit/credit card fraud.

Repeated vandalism of tires – At 11:22 a.m., police received a report of tires being punctured three times in 24 hours on Evelyn. Disposition: Case report taken.

Missing street sign – At 1:47 p.m., police received a report that the sign saying Pomona and Solano has been missing for 10 days. Disposition: Matter/persons referred to outside agency. 

7 boys mess with pool system – At 3:25 p.m., police received a report of seven middle school boys messing the pool system – turning valves and spraying water – at Albany High School. They were last seen heading south on Pomona. Disposition: Log note only.

Tree branch poses potential hazard – At 9:10 p.m., police logged a report of a large broken tree branch hanging over a sidewalk on Peralta. Disposition: Situation corrected by APD.

Loud people in Terrace Park – At 10:18 p.m., police received a complaint of several people, possibly juveniles, making loud noise in Terrace Park at Terrace and Neilson. Disposition: Unable to locate source of complaint.
