Police Calls: 4 Accidents on a Sunday, Loud Kids, Noisy Machine Again

The Albany police log for May 12 includes four accidents, including a vehicle-vs.-bicycle that caused an injury, punctured tires on two vehicles, an "extremely upset" person reporting loud kids, and a 911 call seeking the number for a taxi.

The following information was obtained from the Albany Police Department's daily incident log and its arrest reports.

Sunday, May 12

Loud kids – At 12:15 a.m., police received a complaint from an "extremely upset" person reporting loud kids in the area of Washington and Key Route. The reporting party said "he will go out there and deal with them himself." Disposition: Unable to locate source of complaint.

911 call from taxi seeker – At 1:57 a.m., police received a 911 call from someone at Am/Pm on San Pablo asking for the number for a taxi. Disposition: Matter or reported situation checks out O.K.

Mistaken stolen van report – At 3:22 p.m., a person reported her van was stolen at East Overhead Door on Cleveland. She was advised that it was impounded. Disposition: Log note only.

Vehicles vandalized – At 4:30 a.m., police received a report of multiple tires punctured on two vehicles on Garfield in the previous 30 minutes by more than one person. The responsibles fled north on San Pablo in a blue Jetta. Disposition: Case report taken.

Hit and run car-vs-bicyclist injury – At 12:26 p.m., police logged a report of a hit-and-run vehicle-vs.-bicyclist accident that caused an injured left arm. The vehicle departed into Golden Gate Fields. Disposition: Case report taken.

Injury accident – At 12:53 p.m., police logged a vehicle accident involving an injury at Golden Gate Fields. Disposition: Case report taken.

Non-injury accident – At 12:55 p.m., police received a report of a non-injury vehicle accident at Pierce and Buchanan. Disposition: Miscellaneous public service provided.

Non-injury accident – At 10:26 p.m., police logged a report of a non-injury vehicle accident at Cerrito and Buchanan. DDisposition: Case report taken.

Another complaint on machine noise – At 11:41 p.m., police received a complaint of a loud noise coming from a generator inside a shed at Solano Grill on Solano Grill. Disposition: Miscellaneous public service provided. (Editor's note: This is at least the third recent complaint about a loud machine noise at this location.)
