Stolen vehicle
– At 10:43 a.m., police received a report of the theft of a vehicle that had been parked in a garage on Kains last night and is now missing since 9:30 a.m. Disposition: Case report taken.

Traffic light malfunctioning – At 2:57 p.m., police received a report of the light for eastbound traffic on Buchanan at Pierce has stayed red for at least four cycles, allowing traffic from Cleveland to go through. Disposition: Matter or reported situation checks out O.K.

Vehicle registration stolen – At 4:56 p.m., police received a report that someone had rummaged through a vehicle on Thousand Oaks between 10 p.m. on Oct. 15 and 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 16. The reporting party noticed the vehicle registration is missing. Disposition: Log note only.

Traffic light malfunctioning – At 5:41 p.m., a caller told police that the light at Buchanan and Pierce isn't working properly, that it cycles for everyone else at least three times before allowing traffic to go eastbound on Buchanan from the overpass. The caller said people are starting to go the wrong way into oncoming traffic. Disposition: Log note only.

Traffic light malfunctioning – At 5:49 p.m., police logged a report from another caller complaining about the light not turning green for traffic coming from the freeway onto eastbound Buchanan. Disposition: Log note only.

Non-injury accident – At 6:27 p.m., police received a report of a non-injury accident involving silver Toyota Solara and a silver Honda, with the drivers blocking the road at Washington and Kains. Disposition: Log note only.

Man refuses to leave – At 10:19 p.m., police received a report of a man in a green jacket at the front desk on San Pablo refusing to leave. Disposition: Log note only. (Editor's note: the log entry doesn't say what address or place the man refused to leave from.)

Outstanding warrant arrest – Police arrested a 27-year-old Vallejo man at the Buchanan Interchange on an outstanding warrant.

Sunday, Oct. 20

DUI arrest – Police arrested a 32-year-old El Sobrante man at San Pablo and Washington on suspicion of driving under the influence and having a blood alcohol level of 0.08% or more. The arrest followed a 2:04 a.m. report of a DUI stop at San Pablo and Washington.

Stolen vehicle – At 6:18 a.m., police received a report of a vehicle taken sometime overnight on Ordway. Disposition: Case report taken.

Man knocking on door, won't leave – At 7:03 a.m., police received a report of a man knocking on a door and refusing to leave at Jackson and Monroe. Non-injury accident – At 3:03 p.m., police received a report of a non-injury accident 10 minutes before on Cleveland, possibly causing a traffic hazard. Disposition: No police action warranted at this time.

Hit and run with damage – At 5:16 p.m., police logged a report of a cold hit and run with damage on Ramona between about 7 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. today. The driver's side door was damaged and may need to be replaced. The reporting party doesn't seek prosecution but just wanted to have a record of the incident. Disposition: Log note only.

Burglary – At 7:35 p.m., police received a report of a just-discovered burglary on Pomona that happened sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 7:20 p.m. Disposition: Case report taken. (Editor's note: The log doesn't say what kind of burglary it was.)

Drug paraphernalia arrest – At 11:50 p.m., police logged an arrest, apparently on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia, at Golden Gate Fields. (Editor's note: this may be the same possession-of-drug-paraphernalia arrest shown without a time of arrest on the arrest log for Oct. 20 of a 31-year-old El Sobrante man at 1100 Eastshore.)

is there a reason why the block number of the burglary was not mentioned?

There seems to be a whole lot of crime happening. I think Albany should consider a small tax increase to pay for more police-people. Perhaps using some old-style police techniques would be in order. The criminal (and Bulb) apologists will go apoplectic and scream for censorship, but it is best to just ignore their shrill requests.
