Traffic light malfunctioning – At 5:41 p.m., a caller told police that the light at Buchanan and Pierce isn't working properly, that it cycles for everyone else at least three times before allowing traffic to go eastbound on Buchanan from the overpass. The caller said people are starting to go the wrong way into oncoming traffic. Disposition: Log note only.

Traffic light malfunctioning – At 5:49 p.m., police logged a report from another caller complaining about the light not turning green for traffic coming from the freeway onto eastbound Buchanan. Disposition: Log note only.

Outstanding warrant arrest – Police arrested a 27-year-old Vallejo man at the Buchanan Interchange on an outstanding warrant.

Sunday, Oct. 20

DUI arrest – Police arrested a 32-year-old El Sobrante man at San Pablo and Washington on suspicion of driving under the influence and having a blood alcohol level of 0.08% or more. The arrest followed a 2:04 a.m. report of a DUI stop at San Pablo and Washington.

Hit and run with damage – At 5:16 p.m., police logged a report of a cold hit and run with damage on Ramona between about 7 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. today. The driver's side door was damaged and may need to be replaced. The reporting party doesn't seek prosecution but just wanted to have a record of the incident. Disposition: Log note only.

Burglary – At 7:35 p.m., police received a report of a just-discovered burglary on Pomona that happened sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 7:20 p.m. Disposition: Case report taken. (Editor's note: The log doesn't say what kind of burglary it was.)

Drug paraphernalia arrest – At 11:50 p.m., police logged an arrest, apparently on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia, at Golden Gate Fields. (Editor's note: this may be the same possession-of-drug-paraphernalia arrest shown without a time of arrest on the arrest log for Oct. 20 of a 31-year-old El Sobrante man at 1100 Eastshore.)
