8:33 p.m. Someone spray painted the hood of a vehicle in the 600 block of Key Route Boulevard, causing damage less than $400.

8:34 p.m. Someone reportedly pulled out a bat during a dispute over a parking space in the 1200 block of Brighton Avenue.

8:59 p.m. A man on Evelyn Avenue called police after his keys fell into the sewer, but hung up after he was able to retrieve them.

OCT. 14

2:08 a.m. Someone on Solano Avenue called police to report finding a puppy. Log note only.

9:19 a.m. Someone on Talbot Avenue reported that her vehicle was broken into via a window smash during the night.

9:55 a.m. Someone reported that an SUV ran into a pole. Matter or situation checks out OK.

10 a.m. Police responded to a suspicious circumstance at . Case report taken.

12:40 p.m. Someone reported that her neighbor's vehicle on Talbot had been broken into, leaving glass in the roadway for two days. Owner is aware and will file a report when she returns home.

1 p.m. Someone called police to request a welfare check after an elderly woman on Posen Avenue hadn't answered her phone, which had been busy since 7 a.m. Emergency workers checked on the woman, and she was taken to the hospital for medical care.

10:18 p.m. Someone reported a burglary in the 600 block of Key Route.

OCT. 15

1:09 a.m. Someone reported a physical fight near the , with more than 15 people involved. Police detained one person, but the others fled the scene.

1:55 a.m. Someone on Washington Avenue reported a loud group involved in a fight. Responsibles advised of the complaint, will correct situation.

3:25 a.m. Police arrested Judith Leiva of Richmond on suspicion of driving under the influence near the Buchanan Interchange. She was taken to the Glenn E. Dyer Jail in downtown Oakland.

11:56 a.m. Someone reported that an iPad had been taken out of a vehicle overnight in the 1000 block of Talbot.

5:42 p.m. Someone saw several boys remove a manhole cover at Marin and Stannage avenues, then climb inside.

5:51 p.m. Police arrested Wendy Hagan of El Cerrito on suspicion of driving under the influence at Solano and Evelyn. She was taken to the Glenn E. Dyer Jail.

7:42 p.m. Someone reported the theft of a blue Trek mountain bike, worth approximately $350, from the 400 block of Evelyn.

OCT. 16

10:54 a.m. Someone reported a sewer overflowing into a driveway on Marin.

12:10 p.m. Someone on Tulare Avenue reported the theft of coins from a vehicle parked in the street.

12:12 p.m. Someone broke into a garage in the 1200 block of Garfield Avenue.

5:32 p.m. Someone reported a sewer backing up at Masonic Avenue.

OCT. 17

12:40 a.m. Police arrested (Removed) on suspicion of driving under the influence at San Pablo and Monroe avenues. She was taken to the Glenn E. Dyer Jail.

5:06 p.m. Police arrested Angelo Gilbert of Albany in connection with bodily injury to a child. He was taken to Santa Rita Jail in Dublin.

OCT. 18

9:08 a.m. Items were taken from a vehicle in the 700 block of Curtis Street during the night.

1:13 p.m. Police responded to a problem involving a juvenile at Albany High School. Case report taken.

1:26 p.m. A pedestrian reported a suspicious white van driving slowly past the on Dartmouth Street. The van was "driving away real slowly... (then) eventually drove off." Five or 10 minutes later, the van returned, and the driver tried to flag down the caller; she ignored him and kept walking.

8:44 p.m. Police arrested Michael Schwarzbart of San Rafael on suspicion of driving under the influence near the Buchanan Interchange. He was taken to the Glenn E. Dyer Jail.

OCT. 19

8:30 a.m. Someone reported a sewer backup on Ventura Avenue.

1:46 p.m. Police attempted to serve a warrant on Masonic. Log note only.

OCT. 20

1:02 a.m. Police arrested Subhan Ali of El Cerrito at Taft Avenue, at the top of , for a warrant from an outside agency. He was released on a citation with a promise to appear in court.
