Police Calls: Battery at Albany Bowl, Aggressive Lab, Bar Noise Complaint

The Albany police log for May 31 includes a woman hit in the face by another woman at Albany Bowl, a complaint of loud music at Club Mallard, and a complaint of a large aggressive chocolate lab without tags near the Memorial Park play area.

The following information was obtained from the Albany Police Department's daily incident log and its arrest reports.

Friday, May 31

Non-injury accident 
– At 7:54 a.m., police received a report of a non-injury accident involving a gold Chrysler and a black Jeep on Pierce. Disposition: Unable to locate source of complaint.

Noise complaint 
– At 12:10 a.m., police logged a complaint from a caller wanting an officer to ask the Club Mallard to turn down the loud music. Disposition: Responsible/s advised of complaint, will correct situation.

Outstanding warrant arrest – At 1:35 a.m., police arrested a person at San Pablo and Washington on an outstanding warrant.

Burglary – At 8:09 a.m. police received a report of burglary on Curtis. Disposition: Case report taken.

Auto burglary – At 8:20 a.m., police received a report of coins stolen from a vehicle that was ransacked on Stannage. The reporting party did not wish a report, only to inform police of the incident. Disposition: Log note only.

Non-injury accident – At 9:45 a.m., police received a report of a minor non-injury accident involving two vehicles at Marin and Santa Fe. Disposition: Unable to locate source of complaint.

Lost keys – At 1:56 p.m., police received a report of five keys and "fob pink leather with clasp" at Portland and Masonic. Disposition: Log note only.

Window broken on Sonoma – At 3:18 p.m., police received a vandalism report of a window shattered sometime overnight on Sonoma. The reporting party only wanted to notify police for the police records and did not want a report. Disposition: Log note only.

Aggressive lab – At 4:04 p.m., police received a report of "large chocolate lab  aggressive with no tags" running around near the baseball field next to the children's play area behind Albany High. Disposition: Miscellaneous violation – warning given.

Auto burglary – At 4:11 p.m., police received a report of the theft of an owner's manual, vehicle registration, hook ups and wires from an auto in a garage at an unknown time on Spokane. Disposition: Case report taken.

Battery at Albany Bowl – At 11:41 p.m., police received a report from a woman at Albany Bowl saying another woman hit her in the face. Disposition: Disputing parties separated – matter resolved.
