Police Calls: Suspicious Man Watching Kids, Wallet Stolen from Unlocked Vehicle, Burglary on Pierce

APRIL 14, SATURDAY

11:39 a.m. Police responded to for a report of washing machine smoking from an electrical issue.
12:30 p.m. Police were called to Stannage Avenue for the smell of marijuana, but were unable to locate the source of the complaint.

4:02 p.m. Police arrested Timothy Paul Harrison of Richmond on a no-bail warrant from the Alameda County sheriff's department related to possession of a controlled substance for sale. He was taken to the Glenn Dyer Detention Facility in downtown Oakland.
10:01 a.m. Police arrested Luis Bustamante of Albany on suspicion of public intoxication at the after someone reported a man in a blue jacket and blue hat who was sleeping or passed out. He was taken to the Glenn Dyer jail.
APRIL 15, SUNDAY
12:17 a.m. A man at threw money at security and threatened an employee after refusing to pay his pool tab.
2:31 a.m. Police arrested Lalena Hughes, a transient, on suspicion of driving under the influence at Gilman and San Pablo avenues when someone reported a vehicle on the road with its brights on. A caller said the vehicle was stopped at a green light for an extended period of time, and blocking traffic. Hughes was taken to the Glenn Dyer jail.
9:26 a.m. A caller from Cornell Avenue found a purse and backpack in the front yard.
10:40 a.m. A caller on Madison Street found a backpack in the backyard.
11:45 a.m. A thief stole a wallet out of an unlocked vehicle in the 900 block of Peralta Avenue overnight.
3:50 p.m. A burglar broke into some kind of unit in the 500 block of Pierce Street and stole multiple items.
5:54 p.m. A caller reported an older man in a car watching the caller's daughter and a friend on Cornell. Police took a case report.
8:36 p.m. Police responded to party-goers laughing and being loud on Kains Avenue.
