Police Calls: Halloween Costumes Stolen at Marin School, Pot at Albany High

The Albany police log for Oct. 4 includes two 18-year-old males who bothered customers and tried to steal from the tip jar at Al's Big Burger, Halloween costumes stolen at Marin School, two students with pot at Albany High and a stolen iPhone.

The following information was obtained from the daily incident log and arrest log of the Albany Police Department.

Friday, Oct. 4

iPhone stolen from vehicle – At 7:45 a.m., police received a report of an iPhone stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Beverly. Disposition: Case report taken.

Halloween costumes stolen at Marin school – At 10:12 a.m., police received a report of the theft of Halloween costumes that happened about 9:15 a.m. while dropping off children at Marin Elementary School. Disposition: Case report taken.

Identity theft – At 1:56 p.m., police logged an entry titled "Identify Theft" saying a person in the lobby reports that she received two credit cards in the mail that she didn't apply for. Disposition: Case report taken.

Students with marijuana – At 2:19 p.m., police logged a report of two juveniles in possession of marijuana in the attendance office on Key Route. Disposition: Case report taken. (Editor's note: Albany High School is on Key Route.)

Youths bothering customers, attempt to steal tips at Al's – At 5:16 p.m., police received a report of two 18-year-old males bothering people inside Al's Big Burger on San Pablo and attempting to steal tips from the tip jar. They are now in the parking lot. Disposition: Responsible/s advised of complaint, will correct situation.
