Police Calls: Lost Diamond, "Rat in a Toilet," Dog Bite Fight, the Bass is Back

OCT. 20

8:04 a.m. Someone reported a petty theft from the 900 block of Peralta Avenue.

8:11 a.m. Someone reported a petty theft from a vehicle in the 1100 block of Evelyn Avenue. 

9:37 a.m. A  the  on Solano Avenue. 

3:40 p.m. Someone prowled through an unlocked vehicle in the 1000 block of Key Route Boulevard, and stole a charger and connection cable.

5:50 p.m. Someone stole a vehicle from the  parking lot. The automobile had been parked at 1 p.m.

11:06 p.m. Someone reported  coming from the rear of a residence on Brighton Avenue. The caller described it as .

OCT. 22

1:24 a.m. Police arrested Mark William Bartulovichi of El Cerrito on suspicion of driving under the influence at the Buchanan Interchange. He was released with a citation and a notice to appear. 

9:41 a.m. Someone reported that the back of a home, on Key Route Boulevard, had been egged overnight.

10:21 a.m. Someone reported loud bass guitar on Brighton.

2:29 p.m. Someone reported a loud band playing on Cornell Avenue. The caller "wants it to stop."

5:32 p.m. Police recovered a stolen vehicle in the 400 block of Adams Street.

OCT. 23

12:27 a.m. Police arrested Anthony Wilfred Kerman, of Albany, at San Pablo and Solano avenues on suspicion of public intoxication. He was taken to the Glenn E. Dyer Jail in downtown Oakland. 

2:55 p.m. Police arrested John Floyd Lalonde of Albany after he was reportedly standing with a fire extinguisher. He was arrested on suspicion of burglary and damaging property, and taken to the Glenn E. Dyer Jail.

6:13 p.m. Someone on Stannage Avenue reported receiving annoying phone calls.

6:54 p.m. Someone on Madison reported a "rat in a toilet."

7:23 p.m. Someone reported a lock cut off a garage in the 800 block of Cornell. The house "appears to be fine." 

OCT. 24

5:09 a.m. Someone reported "loud electric bass noise" coming from the rear of a residence on Brighton.

7:48 a.m. Someone reported "Loud electric bass, again" on Brighton.

8:41 p.m. Someone reported an "On going problem with electric bass guitar." The caller "does not want contact tonight but is upset about the problem." 

OCT. 25

7:53 a.m. A Bridgestone mountain bike was stolen from a garage in the 800 block of Masonic Avenue.

3:30 p.m. A wallet was reported stolen from a shopping cart at Target the previous day.

6:18 p.m. Albany officers helped UC Berkeley police at with a case involving "residents of a house that has guns and a (marijuana) grow" on Ohlone Avenue. According to UC police, one person was arrested on suspicion of battery on a peace officer, and "contacted" on suspicion of "cultivating marijuana and possession of a non-operable firearm." The person was cited and released. The marijuana was turned over to UCPD for destruction.

6:21 p.m. Someone reported two dogs, including one pit bull, fighting on Portland Avenue. One of the dog's owners was bitten on the hand. Owners got into a verbal fight over the issue. 

OCT. 26

7:20 a.m. Someone reported "loud bass guitar" on Brighton.

8:52 a.m. A driver hit two cyclists with his door at Solano and Masonic.

9:56 a.m. A Realtor reported that a vacant house was broken into in the 1200 block of Dartmouth Street during the night.

1:08 p.m. Officials investigated a house on Key Route "full of smoke, no flames seen." Smoke detectors were going off and the family was outside. Miscellaneous public service provided.

2:29 p.m. Someone reported a 40-year-old on Adams Street wearing a short skirt and black boots who "had a dog earlier but not now." The person threw something at the caller's home earlier, and urinated in the neighbor's driveway. Unable to locate source of the complaint.

4:34 p.m. Someone reported that a woman had lost her diamond wedding ring and engagement band at the day before.
