Police Calls: Meat Scam, Disgruntled Client, Bike Theft, DUIs and More

MARCH 29, Thursday

9:10 a.m. Someone stole a bike from the 1300 block of Solano Avenue the prior day. 

9:26 a.m. A woman from Ojai called to report that her vehicle had been stolen, and told police she was concerned the thief might have an Albany connection.

11:35 a.m. Someone stole a wallet from a member while he or she was at the gym earlier that morning.

6:23 p.m. Police arrested Harjit Singh of El Cerrito on suspicion of driving under the influence at San Pablo and Washington avenues. He also was arrested on suspicion of driving on a suspended or revoked license, probation violation and driving a vehicle without a working ignition interlock device. He was taken to the hospital. 

MARCH 30, Friday

12:58 a.m. Police arrested William Thomas Livie III of Richmond on suspicion of public intoxication at He was taken to the Glenn Dyer Detention Facility in downtown Oakland.

1:46 a.m. Police arrested Matthew Berian Dicky of Los Angeles on suspicion of driving under the influence at San Pablo and Washington avenues. He was taken to the Glenn Dyer jail. 

12:35 p.m. A "disgruntled client" made threats against a business on Stannage Avenue. Police took a case report.

12:37 p.m. A woman went into the Police Department to report that someone had come by her home claiming to be a distributor for local restaurants, and sold her some meat. "She paid them and now she has found out it is a scam." Police determined it was a civil matter and advised her about her options.

12:41 p.m. Police were called to a domestic disturbance between a man and a woman in the 900 block of Key Route Boulevard after a third person tried to intervene in the dispute. The man reportedly brandished a knife during the exchange. 

11:35 p.m. Someone broke into a vehicle in the 800 block of Hillside Avenue the prior night. 

MARCH 31, Saturday

2:14 a.m. A resident reported a transient person camping behind a shop on San Pablo Avenue. Police advised the camper of the complaint. 

2:30 a.m. Police arrested Alida Montana Lettunich of Corralitos on suspicion of driving under the influence in the 800 block of Buchanan Street. She was taken to the Glenn Dyer jail and her vehicle was towed.

4:07 a.m. A resident on Key Route Boulevard called to report the flag pole "banging loudly," and advised police "this has been happening for a number of years." 

11:34 a.m. Someone smashed the window of a vehicle that had been parked on Buchanan and Jackson streets for about an hour. Police took a case report.
