Police Calls: Shots Fired, Marin Arson, Hibachi and Drums, and More

JULY 9, MONDAY

8:04 a.m. Police gave a warning to someone living in a van on Key Route Boulevard.

9:53 a.m. Police investigated a burglary in the 500 block of Buchanan Street.

3:32 p.m. Police issued a citation after a traffic accident at Marin Avenue and Neilson Street.

5:20 p.m. Someone reported in Memorial Park, and asked police to patrol the area on a regular basis. Police were unable to locate the source of the complaint and found no dogs in the area when they arrived.

7 p.m. Police gave a warning to a man in a blue hat collecting recyclables at Ramona and Washington avenues.

7:42 p.m. Police gave a warning to someone collecting recycling at Marin and Pomona avenues.

8:17 p.m. Someone on Cornell Avenue reported a firecracker and screaming in a backyard. Police issued a warning.

8:59 p.m. Police responded to a verbal altercation on Marin Avenue and separated the disputing parties.

9:29 p.m. Police gave a warning to a large group of people at Marin and Evelyn avenues cooking on a hibachi grill and playing drums.

9:33 p.m. A man possibly on a bike wearing a beanie hat went into a man's driveway on Solano Avenue and started screaming at him, then disappeared. Police were unable to find him.

JULY 10, TUESDAY

1:28 a.m. A resident on Pierce Street said a neighbor was making lots of noise "banging on things." Police gave a warning.

1:52 a.m. Police issued a citation to someone outside Club Mallard who was reported to be screaming near a vehicle.

2:04 a.m. Police arrested a Hercules man on suspicion of driving under the influence in the 900 block of Madison Street. He was taken to the Glenn Dyer Detention Facility in downtown Oakland.

3:03 a.m. Police and fire officials responded to a .

10:58 a.m. Someone at Marin School saw burned benches at the school and reported that flour appeared to have been thrown around campus. Police took a case report.

11:31 a.m. Police responded a vandalism report at Marin School.

2:01 p.m. A burglar broke into a home in the 500 block of Talbot Avenue.

9:32 p.m. Police took a case report after a back door appeared to have been kicked in at a vacant residence on Talbot Avenue.

10:12 p.m. A man on Madison Street said several people fired a round, possibly from a BB gun, through his front window; two or four juveniles then got into a blue four-door Honda, and left on Washington Avenue toward San Pablo Avenue.

JULY 11, WEDNESDAY

12:49 a.m. A caller reported a man rolling around on the ground and screaming at Jackson Street and Solano Avenue. He was last seen walking on Solano Avenue toward San Pablo Avenue.

1:07 a.m. Police arrested Ivan Ackley of Albany at Masonic Avenue in connection with an outside-agency warrant. He was taken to the Glenn Dyer jail. Police took a case report.

2:24 a.m. Someone reported four shots fired on Calhoun Street, and two vans parked nearby. Police were unable to locate them.
