APRIL 19, THURSDAY

8:54 a.m. A passer-by reported a large swarm of bees in a tree near a fence on Castro Street. 

12:11 p.m. A couple got into a fight at the and threw candy. Police were unable to locate them.

4:02 p.m. A freelance musician went into the Police Department lobby for advice on how to get paid by a former collaborator.

7:13 p.m. Someone stole a rear license plate off a vehicle in the 1100 block of Washington Avenue. 

7:22 p.m. A man saying he was "on the ground and ... in need of assistance" called police from the . Emergency workers took him to the hospital by ambulance.

8:38 p.m. A burglar smashed a vehicle window at the . 

APRIL 20, FRIDAY

1:21 a.m. Police arrested Reimundo Cauichcolli of Albany on suspicion of driving under the influence in the 600 block of Stannage Avenue. He was taken to the Glenn Dyer Detention Facility in downtown Oakland.

2:29 a.m. Police arrested Meaghan Yarnold of El Sobrante in the 600 block of San Pablo Avenue on suspicion of driving under the influence. She was taken to the Glenn Dyer jail.

7:49 a.m. Police spoke with a transient man sleeping in a doorway at  on San Pablo and advised him that he was not allowed to sleep there.

9:10 a.m. Someone punched a door lock in the 1000 block of Kains Avenue overnight. 

1:34 p.m. Police were called for a student with marijuana at . 

2:29 p.m. A petty theft was reported in the 800 block of Adams Street. 

10:06 p.m. A woman on Hillside Avenue reported that "a neighbor 'stole' 5 feet of her sidewalk" and asked to speak with an officer in person. Police determined that no action was needed.

APRIL 21, SATURDAY

12:07 p.m. Police responded to an accident at Marin and Santa Fe avenues in which a vehicle overturned with several people inside. (.)

3:56 p.m. Someone smashed a window in a vehicle at and stole a purse and wallet.

APRIL 22, SUNDAY

2:55 a.m. Police arrested Winston Martin Franklin of Berkeley on suspicion of driving under the influence in the 900 block of Fillmore Street. He was taken to the Glenn Dyer jail.

7:14 a.m. Someone stole a white hybrid bicycle from inside a garage in the 1500 block of Sonoma Avenue.

9:08 a.m. Someone broke into a vehicle in the 900 block of Cerrito Street overnight. 

9:21 a.m. Someone stole a vehicle overnight from the 1100 block of Evelyn Avenue. 

11:43 a.m. Someone broke into two vehicles in the 900 block of Fillmore during the night. 

11:46 a.m. A burglar struck in the 900 block of Washington.

12:03 p.m. Someone stole a vehicle in the 800 block of Washington during the night. 

12:06 p.m. A burglary was reported in the 900 block of Fillmore.

2:13 p.m. Police recovered a stolen vehicle out of Richmond at Cleveland Avenue and Johnson Street after an anonymous caller reported seeing a suspicious vehicle, which appeared to have had its interior stripped. 

APRIL 23, MONDAY

9:35 a.m. Someone stole two flags and a rope from the flag pole at Ocean View Elementary School during the weekend. 

1:25 p.m. A vandal smashed a window in a vehicle in the 1000 block of Masonic Avenue.

3:56 p.m. A thief stole a bike from the School for Independent Learners in the 1200 block of Solano Avenue around noon. 

5:42 p.m. A thief stole a student's bike from .

7:46 p.m. Police arrested Christin Myles Davis at Solano Avenue and Jackson Street in connection with an outside agency misdemeanor warrant with a $500 bail. He was released on a citation with a promise to appear in court. 

9:06 p.m. Police responded to a vehicle accident on Solano and San Pablo involving pedestrians. (Albany Patch has requested additional information from police.)

11:30 p.m. Police arrested Leon Evans III of Berkeley in connection with a felony Albany warrant related to indecent exposure. (Albany Patch has requested additional information.)

APRIL 24, TUESDAY

10:39 a.m. Police gave a warning to two men sleeping on San Pablo Avenue. One was on a bench and one was on the sidewalk.

3:06 p.m. Police took a case report after a suspicious circumstance was reported at Cheasty Law Firm on Solano. 

5:16 p.m. A parent went into Albany Middle School to report that his or her son had been assaulted at school the prior Friday. 

8:59 p.m. A woman reportedly slapped a man during the after he asked her to stop interrupting the discussion. Police took a case report. 

APRIL 25, WEDNESDAY

1:43 p.m. A Waste Management supervisor called to report that a driver had been following one of his trucks for the past two weeks. 

5:24 p.m. A vandal broke a vehicle's side window in the 900 block of Neilson Street. 

APRIL 26, THURSDAY

9:36 a.m. A postal worker said someone smashed in his front glass door in the 1100 block of Solano Avenue.

10:27 a.m. A Kains Avenue resident went into the Police Department to ask for help moving his motor home  "due to a neighbor threatening him."

APRIL 27, FRIDAY

2:26 a.m. Police arrested Santino Lorenza Castillo of Albany on suspicion of public intoxication on Portland Avenue. He was taken to the Glenn Dyer jail.

7:55 a.m. Someone ransacked an unlocked vehicle, along with a second vehicle, on Key Route Boulevard overnight. 

7:56 a.m. A caller reported a dead deer between a parked white van and the curb on Marin Avenue. 

8:03 a.m. A caller complained about a man who "revs his very loud motorcycle early every morning." Police advised the motorcycle owner of the complaint and he said he would correct the situation. 

12:20 p.m. Police responded to on San Pablo Avenue for a report that three rental vehicles had not been returned. They responded to two additional reports at Hertz that afternoon about vehicle thefts. 

3:19 p.m. A caller with a wildlife rescue agency reported three teenagers carrying a live deer fawn at San Pablo and Marin avenues. 

4:30 p.m. A Curtis Street resident reported that someone stole pedestal planters with flowers.

4:59 p.m. A caller reported online harassment and police determined that the report was unfounded. 

5:45 p.m. A caller reported five loose chickens at Brighton and Stannage avenues "in case we (receive) a report from the owner."

5:57 p.m. Someone smashed the window of a vehicle at the waterfront and stole a wallet. The caller reported that a second vehicle also had been the victim of a burglary. 

6:17 p.m. A caller on Key Route Boulevard reported that someone stole a cement cherub from his front yard. 

11:32 p.m. Police arrested Larnell Maurice Cockerham of Oakland on suspicion of public intoxication after he was reported to be "screaming at everyone (and) trying to start a fight" at the .

APRIL 28, FRIDAY

2:04 a.m. Police arrested Daniel Ryan of Castro Valley on suspicion of driving under the influence in the 900 block of Jackson Street. He was taken to the Glenn Dyer jail.

6:49 a.m. A caller reported a suspicious person who appeared to be working with a wrench to turn on the water at the meter on Monroe and San Pablo avenues. 

8:03 a.m. Police were called again for a report of a person trying to turn on the water at San Pablo and Monroe. The University of California Police Department dispatched an officer.

9:35 a.m. Someone stole a vehicle from the 1000 block of Ramona Avenue overnight. 

11:09 a.m. Someone stole $10 in quarters out of one vehicle on Pomona Avenue, and some change out of another, overnight. Both vehicles had accidentally been left unlocked. 

3:51 p.m. A caller reported that the urinal in the men's restroom at was overflowing. 

4:06 p.m. An insistent customer at an optometrist's shop on Solano Avenue said he would not leave "until he sees Susan." Police arrested Frederic Charles Paroutaud of Richmond on suspicion of entering and occupying without consent, and resisting a police officer. He was taken to Santa Rita Jail in Dublin. 

4:35 p.m. A cyclist was reported to have been hit by a vehicle at Portland and San Carlos avenues. The accident possibly caused a broken collarbone. Police took a case report. (Albany Patch has requested additional information from police.)

10:53 p.m. Vandals smashed the side view mirrors of at least two vehicles in the 1000 block of Curtis Street. Police took a case report. 

APRIL 29, SATURDAY

1 a.m. Police arrested Katherine Sanders of Richmond on suspicion of driving under the influence after someone called from to report that her vehicle had been struck five times by an intoxicated woman who left in a silver Honda Accord or Civic. Police took Sanders to the Glenn Dyer jail.
