MARCH 19, MONDAY

11:47 a.m. Police and fire personnel responded to a . .

1:50 p.m. Someone stole luggage and a laptop from . Police took a case report.

2:52 p.m. Police completed their investigation about a car that had been stolen from a home on Evelyn Avenue two weeks earlier.

4:38 p.m. A postal worker reported a dog bite on Cornell Avenue.

5:40 p.m. Lured to by an ad on Craigslist, a woman from someone in Albany only to find, upon returning home, the televisions were not in the "professionally wrapped boxes." .

8:56 p.m. A home in the 900 block of Talbot Avenue was burglarized; a neighbor saw the burglar leave in a vehicle, and called police. The burglar got inside via an unlocked kitchen window; the resident arrived home while police were on the scene. The burglar took jewelry and cash from two bedrooms.

MARCH 20, TUESDAY

4:50 a.m. Someone stole a truck from the 500 block of Pierce Street.

8:55 a.m. A man stole a black Specialized bike from a home in the 900 block of Kains Avenue.

3:42 p.m. A burglar broke into a home in the 800 block of Adams Street.

7:53 p.m. A woman's car was burglarized while she was in the returning a book.

MARCH 21, WEDNESDAY

11:31 a.m. Someone reported a recurring problem with a man sleeping behind a San Pablo Avenue karate studio.

1:53 p.m. Someone stole an iPhone from .

5:21 p.m. A man in his 50s wearing a black leather jacket reportedly stole meat from . Police arrested Billy Darensburg of Oakland on suspicion of theft, resisting arrest and parole violation.

6:16 p.m. Police gave a warning to someone who drove onto and appeared to have gotten stuck while loading driftwood and rocks into a truck.

7:32 p.m. A boy was bitten by a dog at the Albany Waterfront.

9:11 p.m. Police arrested April Lynn Anthony at Buchanan and Madison streets on a misdemeanor warrant. She was taken to the Glenn Dyer Detention Facility in downtown Oakland.

MARCH 22, THURSDAY

12:10 a.m. Police arrested Vincent Lopriore and Mark Butterworth after spotting two groups of men scavenging for metal at the Albany waterfront. .

2:31 a.m. Police arrested Donte Washgamble of Oakland on suspicion of driving under the influence at Central Avenue near Interstate 580. He was taken to the Glenn Dyer jail.

7:30 p.m. Police responded to a shoplifting report in the 1300 block of Solano Avenue. Fifteen minutes earlier, a man was interrupted stealing and "filling a shopping cart." He was able to leave with some merchandise prior to the shoplifting report to police.

7:35 p.m. Police arrested Tamara Robinson, a transient with Albany connections, at the waterfront on a misdemeanor warrant. She was taken to the Glenn Dyer jail.

MARCH 23, FRIDAY

1:06 p.m. Someone found a blue child's bike, with two bike helmets attached, alongside a home on Peralta Avenue.

10:08 p.m. Police arrested Joseph Lee Hardy of Richmond on suspicion of driving under the influence in the 700 block of Adams. He was taken to the Glenn Dyer jail.

MARCH 24, SATURDAY

2:34 a.m. Police arrested John Arlen Bartlett of Albany on suspicion of driving under the influence at Buchanan and Cerrito streets. He was taken to the Glenn Dyer jail.

11:53 a.m. A man on Ordway reported that a lemon had been thrown onto his back porch.

9:51 p.m. Police responded to a report of a possible physical fight in the 500 block of San Pablo. They arrested Shantell Joseph of Emeryville, and released her on a promise to appear in court.
