Police Calls: Stolen Vehicles Found, Loose Dog Attack, Loud Drumming and More

APRIL 16, MONDAY

10:16 a.m. Police helped a resident who was locked out of a home on Santa Fe Avenue with a 4-month-old stuck inside.

12:44 p.m. A vandal broke a front window at a vacant home on Talbot Avenue.

12:57 p.m. Police recovered a stolen vehicle at Castro and Adams streets. They also recovered a stolen license plate, from separate vehicle, on it.

3:15 p.m. A loose dog attacked a resident's dog at Francis and Neilson streets.

4:13 p.m. Someone vandalized the early Sunday morning. 

8:45 p.m. Police gave a warning to an older man carrying two big bags and wearing a light-colored jacket after he was reported to be going through garbage on Carmel Avenue. 

APRIL 17, TUESDAY

1:26 a.m. Police took a case report on Pierce Street after a man pushed and hit his wife, then left.

8:29 a.m. Police recovered a stolen vehicle at Marin and Ordway avenues. 

11:25 a.m. Someone reported a petty theft on Washington Avenue.

11:46 a.m. Someone reported a petty theft on Santa Fe.

12:36 p.m. Someone rummaged through a vehicle on Carmel. 

6:51 p.m. Someone reported a possible bike theft at the Albany waterfront. Police took a case report.

7:10 p.m. A neighbor on Brighton Avenue reported an ongoing problem with loud drumming. The caller said the drummer "always stops when police pull up." Police advised the drummer of the complaint.

7:52 p.m. Police gave a warning to a man in a moustache and baseball cap driving a green Dodge caravan who was reportedly dumping paper into school garbage bins. 

APRIL 18, WEDNESDAY

11:34 a.m. A thief stole credit cards out of someone's purse at the prior day. 

2:59 p.m. Police checked on a man who appeared to be sleeping on Masonic Avenue.

3:18 p.m. Police gave a warning to a man at Castro and Madison streets who was going through recyclables and pushing a shopping cart. 

7:45 p.m. A fan caught fire in a restroom on Albany Terrace.

8:35 p.m. A woman on Ordway Street said someone knocked on her door 30 minutes prior, then opened her screen door. She asked police to look around for him, but they were unable to locate anyone.

10:01 p.m. Police served a subpoena or an order to a man carrying a flashlight and plastic bag taking recyclables on Madison Street.
