Police Calls: Dog Bite, Stoned Student, Rock-Throwing Female at Albany Bulb

The Albany police logs for Nov. 4-5 include a stoned student sent home from Albany High, a dog bite, a strange-acting female throwing rocks and sticks at Albany Bulb, a bullet turned in to police, and a rude man in camouflage calling people names.

The following information was obtained from the daily incident log and arrest log of the Albany Police Department.

Monday, Nov. 4

Non-injury accident – At 11:49 a.m., police received a report of a non-injury accident involving a BMW and a Honda Civic. The reporting party, a pregnant female, declined medical attention. Disposition: Case report taken.

Bullet found – At 1:36 p.m. a person who found a bullet found on Sante Fe brought to the police department and wanted to turn it in for destruction. Disposition: Log note only.

Disturbance of peace at Albany High – At 3:21 p.m., police logged a "disturbance of peace" report at Albany High School. Disposition: Case report taken. (Editor's note: the log entry contains no further information about this incident.)

Tuesday, Nov. 5

DUI arrest – At 2:06 a.m., police arrested a 25-year-old Oakland woman at 635 San Pablo Ave. on suspicion of driving under the influence and having a blood alcohol level of 0.08% or more.

Auto burglary – At 10:27 a.m., a person requested police assistance for her teenage daughter, for an vehicle burglary report. Disposition: Case report taken.

Trespassing, probation arrest – At 10:45 a.m., police arrested a 47-year-old transient male from Berkeley at 1650 Solano Ave. on suspicion of trespassing and violating probation.

Strange-acting female throwing rocks, sticks at Albany Bulb – At 12:20 p.m., police received a report of a female acting strange, throwing rocks and sticks on the lower trail. Disposition: Unable to locate source of complaint.

Stoned student at Albany High – At 12:22 p.m., police received a report of an intoxicated juvenile at Albany High who used marijuana. The reporting party will send the juvenile home and needs a police report. Disposition: Case report taken.

Fire at railroad tracks behind Target – At 12:59 p.m., police received a report of a fire on the tracks behind the Toyota dealer and Target. The log entrys says, "Occurred at Uc Berkeley Police on (Unknown Address). Disposition: Log note only. Fire on Eastshore – At 1:29 p.m., police received a report of fire on Eastshore. Disposition: Matter/persons referred to outside agency.

Dog bite – At 3:30 p.m., police logged a faxed dog bite report that requires an officer to take and fax back to them for a followup/investigation. The log entry says, "Occurred on San Pablo." Disposition: Case report taken.

Rude man in camouflage – At 4:51 p.m., police received a report that an older man dressed in camouflage and carrying a backpack was being rude and calling people names at Peralta and Francis. Disposition: Unable to locate source of complaint.
