Police Request Surveillance Footage from Sunday Wrecks on Solano
The Berkeley Police Department put out the call Wednesday.
Following a in Berkeley and Albany on Solano Avenue on Sunday, authorities are asking local business owners for help in the investigation of more than five wrecks caused by a single driver.
Officials said Shahram Farshchi, 56, of Berkeley struck parked and moving vehicles on the Berkeley side of Solano, then drove into Albany and struck four more, sending three people to the hospital.

Officer Byron White of the Berkeley Police Department sent out an e-mail Wednesday asking businesses to turn in any relevant recordings.
"As the investigation continues, the Berkeley Police Department is asking the assistance of merchants along the Solano Avenue Corridor who utilize video surveillance for their facility to review their surveillance video recordings for Sunday between 11:30am and Noon for any footage that may assist us in the investigation," he wrote.
